Ryarsh Protection Group Progress & Update Public Meeting

The KCC Environment & Transport Cabinet Committee were to meet on 13th July and the Ryarsh Quarry was to be on that Agenda. We were advised at the last minute that the proposed Quarry site will now not be discussed at that meeting and therefore should be on the Agenda for a meeting in September – date to be advised. This is very disappointing.

We therefore thought we should have a public meeting in order that we can update everyone on what we have been working on over the past few months and our plan of action for the future months ahead, and would value Residents’ input.

The good fight goes on. All the support we have had has been wonderful, and we hope we can rely on your continued support as we move forward.

Do please come along to our brief and informal meeting to discuss our future defence strategies.

Due to the delay in KCC discussing the Ryarsh site, we are continuing with our Petition and Tom Tugendhat will now be presenting this to Parliament in September.

THE PETITION WILL BE HANDED INTO PARLIAMENT BY OUR MP TOM TUGENDHAT to request that the House of Commons urges Kent County Council to reconsider the site for quarrying in Ryarsh
